Pastry Leidy Terms and Conditions

1. General Agreement

By ordering from Pastry Leidy or pastryleidy.com, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. These conditions may be modified and updated on this website occasionally.

2. Cottage Food Notice

Our products are made in a cottage food operation that is not subject to Michigan food safety regulations.

​

3. Guarantee & Payment

  • Full Payment: Full payment is required to guarantee and secure all cake orders on our calendar. Your date is not reserved until payment is received.

  • Accuracy: It is the customer's responsibility to verify the details on the invoice (date, flavor, design, spelling) and notify us immediately of any errors.

4. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Because our cakes are custom-designed and perishable, we follow a strict refund schedule:

  • Wedding Cakes & Large Cakes (50+ Servings):

    • Cancellations made more than 30 days before pickup: 50% refund.

    • Cancellations made within 30 days of pickup: No refund.

  • Standard Cakes (Under 50 Servings):

    • Cancellations made more than 15 days before pickup: 50% refund.

    • Cancellations made within 15 days of pickup: No refund.

5. No-Shows & Late Pickups

  • Forfeiture: In the event of a "no-show" by the end of the scheduled pickup day, the order is forfeited and no refund will be issued.

  • Holding Policy: Due to the fresh nature of our products and limited refrigeration space, cakes not picked up by our closing time (5:00 PM Mon-Fri / 12:00 PM Sat) will be discarded.

  • Next-Day Pickup: We do not hold cakes for next-day pickup. To ensure quality and food safety, any cake not collected by closing time is removed from our inventory.

6. Modification Policy

  • Wedding Cakes: Major changes (size, flavor, or design) require at least 30 day's notice.

  • All Other Cakes: Major changes require at least 72 hours notice.

  • Additional Costs: Modifications may carry additional costs. These must be agreed upon and paid before changes are finalized.

7. Pickup & Liability

  • Location: Pickups are at our home workshop in the Creston Neighborhood, Grand Rapids. The exact address is provided once payment is confirmed.

  • Transportation: Cakes are delicate. We recommend a level surface (floor of the car) and full Air Conditioning.

  • Liability: Pastry Leidy is not liable for any damages once the order has been handed over to the customer or their representative.

8. Right of Refusal & Pricing

We reserve the right to refuse any order. Prices are subject to change without notice to reflect the cost of premium ingredients.
